Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 So, I call the receding stars to witness, 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 The rising dawn, 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
