And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 upon thy heart, that thou mayest be one of the warners, 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Was it not a proof for them that the learned men of Israel knew about this? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment. 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 Then will they say: "Can we be given respite?" 203 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 and then what they were promised comes to them, 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 For reminder, for We never were oppressors. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 it is not for them, nor are they able. 211 Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it. 212 Hence, [O man,] do not invoke any other deity side by side with God, lest thou find thyself among those who are made to suffer [on Judgment Day]. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 Put your trust in the Mighty One, the Merciful, 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 and sees your movements among those who prostrate themselves: 219 for, verily, He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing! 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin, 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 except those who believed and acted righteously and remembered Allah much, and when they themselves were subjected to wrong, they exacted retribution no more than to the extent of the wrong? Soon will the wrong-doers know the end that they shall reach. 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
