Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
