Moses said, "Lord, grant me courage. 25 and ease my task for me. 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 And appoint for me a minister from my family - 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 “And make him a partner in my task.” 32 That we may exalt You much 33 And remember You much. 34 Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35 He replied: 'Moses, your request is granted. 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 when We revealed what was revealed unto thy mother: 38 "Cast him into the ark, and cast him into the river, and let the river throw him up on the shore. An enemy of Mine and his shall take him." And I loaded on thee love from Me, and to be formed in My sight, 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 "Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and slacken not, either of you, in keeping Me in remembrance. 42 Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 Both said: O our Lord! Surely we fear that he may hasten to do evil to us or that he may become inordinate. 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 Go, then; you two unto him and say, 'Behold, we are apostles sent by thy Sustainer: let, then, the children of Israel go with us, and cause them not to suffer [any longer]. We have now come unto thee with a message from thy Sustainer; and [know that His] peace shall be [only] on those who follow [His] guidance: 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 He (Pharaoh) asked: 'How was it then, with the former generations' 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 Eat, [then, of this produce of the soil,] and pasture your cattle [thereon]. In all this, behold, there are messages indeed for those who are endowed with reason: 54
