The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 By the angels driving away. 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 And when they are reminded, they remember not. 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
