The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 thinking his riches have made him immortal! 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 in towering columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
