Those who deny the truth say, "When we have turned to dust like our fathers, shall we be brought back to life again? 67 We were promised this, forsooth, we and our fathers. (All) this is naught but fables of the men of old. 68 Say: "Travel in the land and see how (bad) was the end of sinners." 69 And grieve thou not over them nor be straitened because of that which they plot. 70 Yet they say: "When will this promise come to pass? (Tell Us) if you speak the truth." 71 Say: It may be that a part of that which ye would hasten on is close behind you. 72 Verily your Lord is gracious to men, though most men are ungrateful. 73 And verily, your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they reveal. 74 And not a thing is there hidden in heaven and earth but it is in a Manifest Book. 75 Surely this Koran relates to the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they are at variance; 76 And truly, it (this Quran) is a guide and a mercy to the believers. 77 Surely, by His Judgement, your Lord will decide between them. He is the Mighty, the Knower. 78 Therefore put your trust in Allah, for you are upon a clear truth. 79 Thou shalt not make the dead to hear, neither shalt thou make the deaf to hear the call when they turn about, retreating. 80 Nor can you lead the blind out of their error, you can only make to hear those who believe in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and who have submitted (themselves to Allah in Islam as Muslims). 81 ۞ And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith]. 82
