The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 By the meteors rushing, 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 Then [Musa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles). 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then he quickly turned his back. 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
