The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 Who determines and directs, 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 the revelations of Abraham and Moses. 19
