Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
