The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 He created man 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 He raised the heaven on high and set the scale. 7 so that you [too, O men,] might never transgress the measure [of what is right]: 8 And observe correct measure, weigh with justice, and not cheat the balance. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 16 Lord of the East and Lord of the West. 17 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 18 He has made the two oceans meet each other, 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 Pearls and corals come from both. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
