Evil has spread over the land and the sea because of human deeds and through these God will cause some people to suffer so that perhaps they will return to Him. 41 Say: "Go all over the earth, and behold what happened in the end to those [sinners] who lived before [you]: most of them were wont to ascribe divine qualities to things or beings other than God." 42 Be devoted to the upright religion before the coming of the inevitable day when no one can escape from God and people will either be sent to Paradise or hell." 43 Whosoever disbelieves will suffer from his disbelief, and whosoever does righteous good deeds (by practising Islamic Monotheism), then such will prepare a good place (in Paradise) for themselves (and will be saved by Allah from His Torment). 44 That He may reward those who believe and do good out of His grace; surely He does not love the unbelievers. 45 Among His signs is this: He sends out the winds bearing good news so that He may make you taste His mercy, and ships sail at His command, so that you may seek His bounty, and be grateful. 46 And indeed We sent several Noble Messengers before you, to their nations – so they came to them with clear signs – We therefore took revenge from the guilty; and it is incumbent upon Our mercy, to help the Muslims. 47 Allah is He Who sendeth the winds so that they raise clouds, and spreadeth them along the sky as pleaseth Him, and causeth them to break and thou seest the rain downpouring from within them. And when He maketh it to fall on whom He will of His bondmen, lo! they rejoice; 48 Though they were before this, before it was sent down upon them, confounded in sure despair. 49 Look then at the signs of Allah's mercy, how He gives life to the earth after its death, most surely He will raise the dead to life; and He has power over all things. 50 But thus it is: if We send a wind [that scorches their land,] and they see it turn yellow, they begin, after that [erstwhile joy,] to deny the truth [of Our almightiness and grace]! 51 So verily thou canst not make the dead hear, nor canst thou make the deaf hear the call when they turn away in flight. 52 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error: none canst thou make hear [thy call] save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 53
