No! By the moon 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 As they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
