Al-Mu' minoon 5 of 6
It is He, Who has created for you (the sense of) hearing (ears), sight (eyes), and hearts (understanding). Little thanks you give. 78 And He has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered back. 79 And He it is Who gives life and causes death, and (in) His (control) is the alternation of the night and the day; do you not then understand? 80 Nay, but they say the like of what their predecessors of yore had said. 81 They said: "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected indeed? 82 We and our forefathers were promised this before. This is nothing but fables of the ancients." 83 Say: "To whom belong the earth and all beings therein? (say) if ye know!" 84 Thereupon they will say, “To Allah”; proclaim, “Therefore why do you not ponder?” 85 Say, “Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and the Lord of the Tremendous Throne?” 86 They will say: (This is) Allah's. Say: Will you not then guard (against evil)? 87 Ask them, "If you have any knowledge, in whose hands is the ownership of all things? Who is the one who gives protection and yet He Himself is never protected?" 88 They will say: Unto Allah (all that belongeth). Say: How then are ye bewitched? 89 We have sent them the Truth: but they indeed practise falsehood! 90 God has not taken to Himself a son, nor is there any other deity besides Him; otherwise, each god would have walked away with what he had created. They would surely have tried to overcome one another. Glory be to God, above all that they ascribe to Him. 91 He has the knowledge of all seen and unseen things. He is too exalted to be considered equal to anything else. 92

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
