Say: "Truly am I a Warner: no god is there but the one Allah, Supreme and Irresistible,- 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, all-mighty, all-forgiving." 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 from which you are turning away.” 68 I had no knowledge of the Highest Chiefs when they disputed; 69 This alone is revealed to me, I am only a clear warner' 70 When your Lord said to the angels: 'I am creating a human from clay, 71 So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him (his) soul created by Me, then you fall down prostrate to him." 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 Except Iblis; he was proud and was, from the beginning, a disbeliever. 74 Said He, 'Iblis, what prevented thee to bow thyself before that I created with My own hands? Hast thou waxed proud, or art thou of the lofty ones?' 75 He said: "I am better than he. You created me from fire, and him from clay." 76 Said He, 'Then go thou forth hence; thou art accursed. 77 And verily My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Requital, 78 He said, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection". 79 Answered He: "Verily, so [be it:] thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 80 for an appointed time". 81 [Iblees] said, "By your might, I will surely mislead them all 82 Save Thy single-minded slaves among them. 83 (Allah) said: "The Truth is, and the Truth I say, 84 That I shall fill hell with thee and with such of them as follow thee, together. 85 Say thou: I ask of you for it no hire, nor am I of the affecters. 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 you shall before long know its truth." 88
