Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And those that strike violently, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
