The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 By those (angels) who bring the Book and the Quran from Allah to mankind [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]. 3 Verily your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 When they are reminded, they do not remember. 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 and say: "This is clearly nothing but [a mortal's] spellbinding eloquence! 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
