Say: O my servants who believe! be careful of (your duty to) your Lord; for those who do good in this world is good, and Allah's earth is spacious; only the patient will be paid back their reward in full without measure. 10 Say thou: verily I am commanded to worship Allah, making for Him religion exclusive. 11 And I am commanded to be the first of those who submit." 12 Say: I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the chastisement of a grievous day. 13 Say: "It is Allah I serve, with my sincere (and exclusive) devotion: 14 So serve, apart from Him, whomsoever you please.” Say: “Behold, the real losers shall be those who will have lost their own selves and their kith and kin on the Day of Resurrection. Behold, that is the obvious loss. 15 Above them they shall have overshadowings. of the Fire, and underneath them overshadowings; that it is wherewith God frightens His servants: "O My servants, so fear you Me!"' 16 And those who avoid the devils lest they should worship them and turn unto Allah in penitence, for them are glad tidings. Wherefore give thou glad tidings unto My bondmen, 17 who give ear to the Word and follow the fairest of it. Those are they whom God has guided; those -- they are men possessed of minds. 18 But what of him against whom the sentence of punishment is justified? Can you rescue one who is already in the Fire? 19 But those who fear their Lord, for them are lofty chambers with lofty chambers above them, built whereunder rivers flow: the promise of Allah, and Allah faileth not the appointment. 20 Do you not see that God sends down water from the sky, then makes it flow in rills on the earth, and brings forth corn from it which, having passed through changes of shade and colour, comes to ripen, and you see it autumnal yellow; then He reduces it to chaff. There are indeed lessons in this for those who are wise. 21
