۞ And when a description of the son of Marium is given, lo! your people raise a clamor thereat. 57 saying, "Are our gods better or him?" -- they cite him only to challenge you: they are a contentious people -- 58 Jesus was a servant of Ours to whom We had granted favors and whom We made as an example for the Israelites. 59 And if We please, We could make among you angels to be successors in the land. 60 (Muhammad), tell them, "Jesus is a sign of the Hour of Doom. Have no doubt about it and follow me; this is the straight path. 61 and do not let satan prevent you, for he is your clear enemy. 62 And when Eisa came to them with clear signs, he said, “I have come to you with wisdom, and to explain to you some of the matters regarding which you dispute; therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 63 Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, therefore worship Him. That is the Straight Path' 64 The various factions among them differed -- woe then to those who did wrong: they will suffer the punishment of a painful Day. 65 Are they waiting for the Hour of Doom when the torment will suddenly strike them and they will not even realize from where it came? 66 On that Day even bosom friends shall become enemies to one another, all except the God-fearing. 67
