[O MEN!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built? 27 He hath raised the height thereof and perfected it. 28 And He made dark its night, and brought forth its sunshine. 29 After this, He spread out the earth, 30 And from it produced its water and its pasture. 31 And stabilized the mountains 32 As provision for you and your grazing livestock. 33 But when the great calamity will come about 34 the Day when the human will remember what he has worked for, 35 and the blazing fire [of hell] will be laid open before all who [are destined to] see it. 36 Then he who had been rebellious 37 And chose the life of the world, 38 surely, Hell will be their refuge. 39 But unto him who shall have stood in fear of his Sustainer's Presence, and held back his inner self from base desires, 40 shall dwell in Paradise. 41 They ask you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) about the Hour, - when will be its appointed time? 42 What art thou about, to mention it? 43 To your Lord belongs (the knowledge of) the term thereof? 44 Thou art but a warner unto him who feareth it. 45 The day when they will see it, it will seem as if they had not stayed on earth except for an evening or its morning. 46
