Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Not at all but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 They know whatever you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 to burn therein. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
