The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
