O ye who believe! seek help with patient perseverance and prayer; for Allah is with those who patiently persevere. 153 And say not of those slain in God's way, 'They are dead'; rather they are living, but you are not aware. 154 Be sure We shall try you with something of fear and hunger and loss of wealth and life and the fruits (of your labour); but give tidings of happiness to those who have patience, 155 Those who say, when afflicted with a calamity, "We belong to God and to Him we shall return," 156 They are those on whom are the Salawat (i.e. blessings, etc.) (i.e. who are blessed and will be forgiven) from their Lord, and (they are those who) receive His Mercy, and it is they who are the guided-ones. 157 ۞ Lo! (the mountains) As-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the indications of Allah. It is therefore no sin for him who is on pilgrimage to the House (of Allah) or visiteth it, to go around them (as the pagan custom is). And he who doeth good of his own accord, (for him) lo! Allah is Responsive, Aware. 158 Those who hide the authoritative proofs and the guidance that We have revealed, after it has been made clear for the People of the Book, will be condemned by God and those who have the right to condemn. 159 save such as repent and make amends, and show clearly -- towards them I shall turn; I turn, All-compassionate. 160 Those who deny My existence and die with such attitude will be subject to the condemnation of God, the angels, and all people. 161 Abiding eternally therein. The punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be reprieved. 162 Your God is one God; there is no god other than He, the compassionate, ever-merciful. 163
