The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 to their promise, 9 Such are the inheritors 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 Then indeed, after that you are to die. 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
