Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
ALIF LAM MIM. 1 These are verses of the wise Book. 2 A guidance and a mercy for the well-doers: 3 Who establish prayer and give zakah, and they, of the Hereafter, are certain [in faith]. 4 It is they who follow the guidance [that comes to them] from their Sustainer; and it is they, they who shall attain to a happy state! 5 (In an attempt to show that God's revelations are only ancient legends) some people pay for meaningless tales to draw others attention away from the Quran without knowledge and treat as a matter of fun. They will suffer a humiliating torment. 6 When Our revelations are recited to them, they turn back on their heels out of pride as if they did not hear them or their ears had been sealed off. Warn them of the painful torment. 7 For those who believe and work righteous deeds, there will be Gardens of Bliss,- 8 Therein they will be abiders: a true promise of Allah. And He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He created the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; He set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and He scattered through it beasts of all kinds. We send down rain from the sky, and produce on the earth every kind of noble creature, in pairs. 10 Such is the Creation of Allah: now show Me what is there that others besides Him have created: nay, but the Transgressors are in manifest error. 11
