Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 And then they cast lots, and he was the one who lost; 141 The fish swallowed him up and he deserved (all this). 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 So you and your deities 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). 166 What though they would say, 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 See them and soon they shall see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
