And whoever turns himself away from the remembrance of the Beneficent Allah, We appoint for him a Shaitan, so he becomes his associate. 36 And indeed those devils prevent them from the Straight Path, and they think they are on guidance! 37 till, when he comes to Us, he says, 'Would there had been between me and thee the distance of the two Easts!' An evil comrade! 38 It will be said [to such a person], "You have done wrong. Having partners in punishment will be of no avail to you today." 39 What! can you then make the deaf to hear or guide the blind and him who is in clear error? 40 We shall inflict retribution on them, whether We take you away from the world (before We do that), 41 Or if We shew thee that wherewith We threaten them, verily We are going to prevail over them. 42 So hold fast to all that has been revealed to thee: for, behold, thou art on a straight way; 43 It is a (source) of greatness for you and your people. You will surely be questioned about it. 44 And question thou our messengers whom We sent before thee; did We appoint any deities other than (Allah) Most Gracious, to be worshipped? 45
