Nay, and by the moon, 32 By the receding night 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 Warn the men. 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 who will be in Paradise 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 we fed not the needy, 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
