Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him. 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 But [on that Day,] when the eyesight is by fear confounded, 7 And the moon darkens 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 in spite of all the excuses he may offer. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
