And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 and so the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at early morn, 83 that they earned did not avail them. 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoin, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers. 88 and say, 'Surely, I am the manifest warner.' 89 Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 Therefore, by your Lord, We shall question every one of them. 92 For that which they have been working. 93 So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters. 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 Glorify and praise your Lord and be with those who prostrate themselves before God. 98 And go on worshipping your Lord till the certainty (of death) comes upon you. 99
