۞ We said to Moses: "Travel by night with My creatures. You will surely be pursued." 52 So Firaun sent gatherers into the cities. 53 Most surely these are a small company; 54 who have enraged us greatly. 55 And lo! we are a ready host. 56 As such We expelled them from their gardens and their fountains, 57 And treasures and agreeable mansions. 58 Thus we let the Israelites inherit them all. 59 Pharaoh and his people pursued them at sunrise, 60 and as soon as the two hosts came in sight of one another, the followers of Moses exclaimed: "Behold, we shall certainly be overtaken [and defeated]!" 61 He replied: Nay indeed! My Sustainer is with me, [and] He will guide me!" 62 Then We inspired to Moses, "Strike with your staff the sea," and it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 and We saved Moses and those who were with him together, 65 And We drowned the others. 66 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 67 Indeed your Lord is mighty and merciful. 68
