We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. 16 and the two recording angels are recording, sitting on the right and the left: 17 He does not utter a single word, without a ready recorder seated next to him. 18 And when the agony of death comes in truth (they will say): 'This is what you have been trying to avoid' 19 And the Trumpet was blown; “This is the Day of the promised punishment.” 20 And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 “You were indeed neglectful of this, so We have removed the veil for you, and your eyesight is sharp this day.” 22 And his companions shall say: This is what is ready with me. 23 It will be said to the angels, “Both of you fling every excessive ungrateful, stubborn person into hell.” 24 Hinderer of good, trespasser, doubter 25 Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment." 26 ۞ And his comrade shall say, 'Our Lord, I made him not insolent, but he was in far error.' 27 God will say, "Do not quarrel in My presence. I gave you the warning beforehand 28 The Word cannot be changed with Me; I do not wrong My worshipers' 29
