T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta Ha 1 We have not sent down the Koran to you for you to be tired, 2 Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 The Beneficent One, Who is established on the Throne. 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire, and said to his family, 'Tarry you here; I observe a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a brand from it, or I shall find at the fire guidance.' 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 "Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance. 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 Therefor, let not him turn thee aside from (the thought of) it who believeth not therein but followeth his own desire, lest thou perish. 16 The Lord asked, "Moses, what is in your right hand?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. 18 The Lord said, "Moses, throw it on the ground". 19 So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
