The Poets (Alshu'araa')
227 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are the verses of the clear Book. 2 Perhaps, [O Muhammad], you would kill yourself with grief that they will not be believers. 3 If We will, We can send down on them a sign from the sky so that their leaders would remain bowed before it. 4 A fresh remembrance has never come to them from the Merciful, except they turn away from it. 5 For they have already denied, but there will come to them the news of that which they used to ridicule. 6 Do they not see the earth, how We grow all kinds of noble things upon it? 7 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 8 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 9
