The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 Rather you are surprised, whereas they keep mocking. 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised (again)? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
