▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the setting of the stars 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 That (this) is indeed an honourable recital (the Noble Quran). 77 in a hidden Book 78 which none shall touch except the purified; 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false? 82 Then why do you not (intervene) when (the soul of a dying person) reaches the throat? 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 So why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, – 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 If it is of the people of the right hand, 90 (he will be greeted with): 'Peace be upon you, Companion of the Right' 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 And roasting in a Blaze. 94 This is indeed an utmost certainty. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96
