By the mount. 1 and a Book inscribed 2 on fine parchment; 3 The house ever-peopled, 4 and the roof uplifted 5 and by the swelling ocean, 6 the torment of your Lord will inevitably take place 7 There is none that can ward it off. 8 On the day when the heavens will swiftly fly 9 And the mountains shall pass away passing away (altogether). 10 woe that day unto those that cry lies, 11 those who are in plunging, playing. 12 On that Day when they shall be pitched into the Fire of Gehenna (Hell), 13 "This is the fire which you were wont to call a lie! 14 Then is this magic, or do you not see? 15 Roast therein; endure it or endure it not, thereof it is equal unto you. Ye are only being requited for that which ye have been working. 16 But in the Gardens the righteous shall live in bliss, 17 rejoicing in whatever their Lord has given them.
