Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 Before thy Lord (alone), that Day will be the place of rest. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself, 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 and he knows that it is the time of parting; 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
