The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 and the night that falls, 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 So whither do you stray? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
