We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 and at night.
