Jinns (Al-Jinn)
28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Say: 'It has been revealed to me that a company of the jinn gave ear, then they said, "We have indeed heard a Koran wonderful, 1 'It guides to the Right Path, and we have believed therein, and we shall never join (in worship) anything with our Lord (Allah). 2 He -- exalted be our Lord's majesty! has not taken to Himself either consort or a son. 3 And that the foolish amongst us used to forge extravagant things against Allah: 4 We had supposed that men and jinn would never utter a lie against God. 5 And persons among humankind have been seeking refuge with persons of the jinn, so that they increased them in evil disposition. 6 And indeed they supposed, even as ye suppose, that Allah would not raise anyone (from the dead) - 7 And that we sought to reach heaven, but we found it filled with strong guards and flaming stars. 8 And we used to sit on places (high) therein to listen. But he who listeneth now findeth a flame in wait for him; 9 And so we know not whether evil is intended for those in the earth, or whether their Lord intends for them rectitude. 10 And among us are the righteous, and among us are [others] not so; we were [of] divided ways. 11 And we know that we cannot frustrate Allah in the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 When we heard the guidance, we believed in it; and whosoever believes in his Lord, he shall fear neither paltriness nor vileness. 13 And some of us have surrendered, and some of us have deviated. Those who have surrendered sought rectitude; 14 but those who deviated from the Truth, will be the fuel for Hell.” 15 And that if they should keep to the (right) way, We would certainly give them to drink of abundant water, 16 In order to try them through it. But whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, will be given increasing torment by Him." 17 ‘And that the mosques are for Allah only therefore do not worship anyone along with Allah.’ 18 When the servant of God stood calling on Him, they were wellnigh upon him in swarms. 19

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
