Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 it is a warning to man, 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 about the guilty ones: 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
