Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Indeed yes, We are able to shape his fingerstips yet again! 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 When the eye is bewildered, 7 And the moon is buried in darkness. 8 And the sun and moon are conjoined, 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it, 16 Surely it is for Us to have you commit it to memory and to recite it. 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 And on that Day there shall be scowling faces, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, 26 And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?" 27 And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); 28 And the leg is wound about the leg, 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
