Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Illustrious scribes 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
