Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

The desire to have more of the worldly gains have pre-occupied you so much (that you have neglected remembring God), 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge! 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 Again, indeed you will see it with certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, ye shall surely be asked of the delights. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
