AND [thus it is:] We have not created heaven and earth and all that is between them without meaning and purpose, as is the surmise of those who are bent on denying the truth: but then, woe from the fire [of hell] unto all who are bent on denying the truth! 27 Shall We treat those who believe and do good works as those who spread corruption in the earth; or shall We treat the pious as the wicked? 28 It is a Blessed Book that We have sent down to you (Prophet Muhammad), so that those possessed with minds might ponder its verses and remember. 29 And We bestowed Sulaiman to Dawud; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 30 When there were brought to him in the evening (horses) still when standing, swift when running-- 31 he said, "I have put the love of good things above the remembrance of my Lord," until [the sun] disappeared behind its veil and the horses disappeared from sight, 32 [He said], "Return them to me," and set about striking [their] legs and necks. 33 Indeed, We tried Solomon and placed a body (of a child) upon his throne, then he repented. 34 He said: My Lord! do Thou forgive me and grant me a kingdom which is not fit for (being inherited by) anyone after me; 35 Then We subjected the wind to his power, to flow gently to his order, Whithersoever he willed,- 36 And also the Shayatin (devils) from the jinns (including) every kind of builder and diver, 37 And other demons bound in chains. 38 This is Our gift, so bestow thou or withhold, without rendering an account. 39 And lo! he hath favour with Us, and a happy journey's end. 40

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
