The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the forthcoming event does occur. 1 and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence 2 abasing [some,] exalting [others]! 3 When the earth is shaken with a shock 4 and the mountains will crumble 5 So that they shall be as scattered dust. 6 And you become [of] three kinds: 7 Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 8 Companions of the Left, what are the Companions of the Left? 9 And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise). 10 Who will be honoured 11 They will dwell in the Gardens of Bliss: 12 A large group from the earlier generations. 13 and only a few of them from the later generations. 14 On couches in wrought with gold. 15 Reclining therein face to face. 16 Immortal youths will serve them 17 With cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine, 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 along with fruits of their choice; 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 Like pearls safely hidden. 23 [And this will be] a reward for what they did [in life]. 24 Therein they hear no vain or sinful discourse. 25 But only the saying of: Salam!, Salam! (greetings with peace)! 26 NOW AS FOR those who have attained to righteousness - what of those who have attained to righteousness? 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 And clusters of banana plants. 29 And shade extended 30 Gushing water, 31 And abundant fruit, 32 That will neither finish, nor ever be stopped. 33 and upraised couches. 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 and shall have made them virgins, 36 Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age, 37 For the fellows on the right hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
