Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. 1 His wealth and gains will not exempt him. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 and his wife, the carrier of the firewood, 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
