Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 The sending down of the Book in which there is no doubt that is from the Lord of the Worlds. 2 Or do they say: He has forged it? Nay! it is the truth from your Lord that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you, that they may follow the right direction. 3 It is Allah Who has created the heavens and the earth, and all between them, in six Days, and is firmly established on the Throne (of Authority): ye have none, besides Him, to protect or intercede (for you): will ye not then receive admonition? 4 He rules (all) affairs from the heavens to the earth: in the end will (all affairs) go up to Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be (as) a thousand years of your reckoning. 5 This is the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Mighty the Merciful, 6 Who made everything He has created good, and He began the creation of man from clay. 7 Then kept his posterity with a part of an abject fluid. 8 Then He fashioned him and breathed into him of His Spirit; and appointed for you hearing and sight and hearts. Small thanks give ye! 9 And they say: What! when we have become lost in the earth, shall we then certainly be in a new creation? Nay! they are disbelievers in the meeting of their Lord. 10 ۞ Proclaim, “The angel of death, who is appointed over you, causes you to die and then towards your Lord you will return.” 11
