Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 and the partitioners, 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 They but destroy themselves, they who are given to guessing at what they cannot ascertain 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
